SkipperLiner Reveals New 105' Motor Yacht Class

Three Hulls Launched in 2008 / 96' Model Owners Begin Upgrading

LA CROSSE, WI — SkipperLiner Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce the third hull commencement in 2008 of the all-new 105' Motor Yacht Class of SkipperLiner dinner cruise vessels. The 105' Motor Yacht Class provides SkipperLiner operators an upgrade opportunity from the successful 96' Motor Yacht Class of which 35 vessels were produced and delivered worldwide.

The key design changes of 9' more length and 4' more beam resulted in a 30% increase in dinner seating capacity. Additional improvements include a panoramic sightseeing deck for 81 sightseeing passengers on the third deck, a larger Admiral’s Room lounge for private events and entertainment, a newly designed and larger Bride’s Room for wedding events and a Pilot House that can accommodate and entertain passengers with state-of-the-art navionics. All of these improvements are specifically designed to improve operator’s revenue, passenger satisfaction and passenger safety.

The design profile, vessel specifications and deck arrangements were created by the talented SkipperLiner marine design team with naval architecture services provided by Andy Lebet of DeJong & Lebet, Inc., Jacksonville, Florida. Electrical generation is by a pair of Caterpillar C4.4 generator sets, developing 76 kW @ 1,800 RPM 208 volts single phase. Propulsion is by a pair of electronically controlled John Deere 6081 engines, developing 330 HP @ 2,200 RPM. The Wesmar 50 HP hydraulic bow and stern thruster are powered by a hydraulic pump via the auxiliary generator.

Hull #1 – M/V Lady Atlantic

The Lady Atlantic, which recently completed delivery via the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico from LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Delray Beach, Florida, is the first vessel in this class to be delivered. The vessel was purchased by Captain Joe and Kerry Reardon of Florida Yacht Cruises, a Delray Beach-based company. According to Captain Reardon, “we needed versatility and quality to be able to do the wide range of things we wanted offer.” With offerings ranging from a floating classroom to the most elegant weddings afloat, it was common that these very different events took place in the same day on the same boat.

The Reardon’s took delivery of their first SkipperLiner, a 96' model, just two years ago. “There never was a question of who was going to build it. We have had so much help from Dan and the team at SkipperLiner since we bought our first SkipperLiner. We simply called them and told them what we were thinking and they made it happen. Not a lot of companies could do that in the economic climate of today’s world, yet SkipperLiner did it and we are really excited about the boat.”

The new vessel features a magnificent, full-length dining salon with wraparound buffet center on the main deck. The second deck offers a large, multi-functional entertainment room which is equipped with a full service bar, a bride’s room/private meeting suite, cocktail area, lounge, dance floor and open passenger deck aft with canopy. Further interior amenities on the Lady Atlantic, for example, include a high-gloss, cherry wood interior, nautical navy-blue carpet and platinum-look ceiling with a compass rose design on each tile. “I think SkipperLiner nailed it with this boat,” stated Captain Reardon.

The Lady Atlantic will join the 124' SkipperLiner Motor Yacht Class Princess Lady (based 25 miles away in Ft. Lauderdale) to make up a strong event cruise tandem in southern Florida. Both vessels are marketed in both locations and offer some of the newest, most luxurious charters and public cruises available in Florida. Joint marketing and advertising campaigns are already underway to compete in what may be the hottest event market in the country.
