Hornblower Hybrid
160ft x 36ft Hybrid Passenger Vessel
In 2009 DeJong & Lebet assisted Hornblower in converting the existing SunCruz V into one of the largest Hybrid Passenger Vessels in the US. Taking an existing 160ft Hull and recycling it into a new vessel, the superstructur above the main deck was reved. The exisitng propulsion system was eremoved and replaced with a Hybrid Diesel Electric System. A new battery room was fitted into the hull along with solar cells and wind generators on the open decks.
In addition, a new second deck glass canopy dining space was added to the front of the vesel. Greatly enhancing the views for the diners enjoyoing the NYC Skyline.
