The 125’ dinner cruise yacht SOLARIS was recently delivered by Freeport Shipbuilding, Inc., Freeport , Florida . Naval Architecture and other design services were provided by DeJong and Lebet, Inc. Naval Architects, Jacksonville , Florida.
The vessel is certified for 150 passengers plus 25 crew on a Partially Protected route. She is USCG certified under Subchapter T. The stability letter allows all passengers on the top deck.
The vessel is constructed of steel, and drafts only 4’-6”. She is powered by a pair of 300 HP CAT 3406 diesels with Twin Disc gears. Electrical power is provided by a pair of 63kW CAT 3056 generators.
The vessel can seat 125 passengers for dinner on the Main Deck, or 150 total diners if the Second Deck is used. The Main Deck features a 1600 square ft. enclosed dining room, as well as heads and galley. The Second Deck features a 1000 square ft. lounge/dining area, plus an aft covered exterior deck of 600 square ft., as well as the pilothouse. A Bride’s dressing room and head are located on the Second Deck aft of the pilothouse. The Second Deck also features a large bar. The Third Deck is an open deck of 1500 square feet with stylish mast and raised wedding platform.
The vessel design features high ceilings and an elegant interior finish. Extra large windows on both the main and Second Decks offer an excellent view. The large sliding glass doors on the aft Second Deck allow the vessel to open up the Second Deck lounge to the exterior deck, weather permitting.
The SOLARIS carries 1600 gallons of fuel, 1600 gallons of potable water, and 1400 gallons of black water in built-in tanks. The hull also contains air conditioning equipment, storage, and refrigerators and freezers.
